Hi everyone. Today's Rod's Birthday (RodS), and while my tale isn't done, I wanted to shout, "Happy Birthday, Rod!" so everyone could hear. (I'm not 100% yet, so dedis are slow for me, still...) Rod's taking a break---which he fully deserves: He's been going full speed for months, preparing his home, battling problems, digging up his yard (to fix broken pipelines), dealing with floods and blasting noise and repairs and his many hand-built motherboards and computers and whatever else he's got down there...all during profound losses and battling covid threats and crazy politicians and on and on. And---not least---he puts up work that takes hours to do, while giving great support to us all: That's huge. That's several lifetimes in one. So I say, get all the rejuvenation you deserve, Rod---take it wherever you can get it! Your fans understand, and they'll welcome you with open arms whenever you return. Now why this pic? It's a pocket watch of mine, a real beaut from Switzerland where you can see the workings close up: These artisans spend lifetimes making beauties like these, so when you see one, you radiate with pride that the human race can do this, with all the strife, disease and madness in this world. And it's not that Rod works "small," like this watch: No. It's that he puts the same kind of love and dedication into whatever he does, including to the support and love he gives to all of us. And that is truly grand. For your wonderful support and love and inspiration, mounds of inspiration and love back!
