Description
Good lord...
I just read in Rod's gallery (RodS), that his beloved wife Jo got COVID. But the doctors said she was ok enough to go home---a positive sign! But it's still very hard to see that happen to your most beloved soul, and Rod is rightly upset and exhausted; and Jo must be even moreso.
I put this photo together to capture not just a healing place---it's a few blocks from home---but a couple who I've never met but who looked like they really loved each other. I took several pictures of them, and they smiled graciously at me. And now they make me think of Rod and Jo, who've known each other since their youth, and have been each others' dearest partners ever since
Jo, get well soon! And rest and heal!!! Rod, I hope you'll be free of COVID (so you can be strong by your wife). Blessings and health to you both, and may you come out of this stronger and better...lots of love, healing and rest, and may you kick that covid right out of your lives! Mark
(pic's a few years back, half a mile from home)

Oh, Mark.... This is soooo beautiful - both the photo and the sentiment. This has such a feel of peace, calm, and just the joy of life. There was a magazine back in the day called "Life" that was always filled with wonderful photos like this. It just makes you feel good. The rich Autumn colors, and the love shared between the couple just strolling, and enjoying the moment.
Jo seems to be feeling a bit better today, just very tired, still. She's on a pretty hefty dosage (800 mg every 12 hours) of something called "molnupiravir" - I'm not even going to try to pronounce that. She was concerned at the size of the dosage, but I told her "you have a serious enemy to fight.."
We're set up with a follow-up with our doctor's office in a week or so, and I'm definitely going to get tested. And we're definitely going to take it easy for a bit (if I can even remember what that is like...LOL).
Thank you so much, Mark! You're the best!

this is a wonderful dedication photo. the colors are warm and inviting. the couple add a cute element and a bit of movement, too; I can hear the dry leaves crunch under their feet. I love that white fence and the greenery in the foreground, too.
prayers for Jo, that she recovers fully and that Rod stays well.

Such a beautiful and thoughtful dedi for Rod and Jo. A warm palette and a peaceful scene have healing properties. I hope Jo fully recovers soon. This damned Covid is still out there, and regardless of one's vax status and the wearing of a mask, it is obvious that one can still contract it. That being said, it doen't mean one should not be up-to-date on their vax shots and not wear a mask. Folks are so cavalier and simply don't understand that this virus will keep mutating if people won't do the responsible things to help to finally get rid of this thing...so far science has been able to deal with the current mutations, but that might not always be the case.

My thoughts and prayers for this lovely couple, I know they have been on here for years...I just had a covid test and passed but that doesn't mean it won't rear its ugly head at some point...actually I would like to extend thoughts and prayers to everyone, its such a sad thing that we all are vulnerable...and now the flu shots are gearing up...Mark, you made such a beautiful dedication and the image shows a love story, simply devine!
