i've never seen purgatory portrayed like this...it's dark (because it's not heaven to the believers), but it's suspended in air, and reflects like an ephemeral dream. I love the two slopes and the wanderer(s). And the castle in the middle is like a dark temple suspended in air. A beautiful envisioning of purgatory.
