Description

This are photo's out of our garden, the first one (both the same) from our front garden, the last one from our back garden. In English this flower has several names, in Dutch it's called "Vuurpijl" Dear friends, thank you very much for your look.

In the 2 photos of your front garden, I love how the background is deep and gray---it gives the photo a feeling of "floating in space".

Also, the tit's head is angled---like he or she is pecking at the flower to get a piece of real food. A spacious shot (the first shot is more cramped, because of your crop).

the back garden photo is in front of lots of greens (greenery), and it's more intense. Plus, the flower that the bird is holding is much "messier": Its stalk "spills downward," like someone spilled milk on the top, and it spilled down the stalk. A revealing and beautiful trio of shots.

Thank you Richard, yes I know that problem as you have with Bodie. When I am on the road in the fields on, for example, 'butterfly hunt', it happens that dogs, and passers-by come close to me to ask what I do. Well, 'hello', then my subject is gone. ;-)

We don't have blue tits around here but I can't help but think they look and behave like larger black capped chickadees, which we have in abundance. One right now is busy trying to stuff a sunflower seed in the dead stalk of a tiger lily in my garden. They've even tried to stuff seeds in the lock of my door while hanging onto the door handle and I regularly find seeds in my outdoor shoes.

Thank you for sharing this very funny story, Chatar. I have never heard anything like that about a bird that does not eat the seeds, but is going to hide them. Maybe it keeps them, just as a squirrel does, to eat them later. I have looked up 'your' bird species, and indeed they look alike, it says black capped chickadees is a songbird, so free music, how nice is that, isn't it?

Haha, die Chris, je hebt het goed onthouden. Dankjewel voor je compliment, en weet je wat de dressuurtruc is?...: je moet net doen alsof je ze niet ziet. :)
