Gregor drove his sister to the "ladies' dorm": a farm house on the sprawling Van Humbeek Estate. It is one of many buildings and small settlements that had once housed employees of the estate. As with all the inhabited structures on the estate, it has the exterior restored and the interior remodeled and modernized. Currently, one of Professor Van Humbeek's graduate assistants, Brooke Potts, and her friend, Patricia "Pixie" Dust, reside in the building. Vladlena is to take the second bedroom on the upper floor.
