Description
I originally did this as a rather simple summer memory given the freezing grey weather we're having, inspired by one of my favourite summertime songs (Chris Rea's languid "On the Beach" in its original 1986 version), and taking advantage of a character I had made in my incessant dial spinning...
...but then I remembered Nevil Shute's dystopian novel of the same title written 65 years ago; controversial and sometimes criticised for scientific inaccuracy, it remains an intensely moving work, telling the story of the last days of humankind as a group of people in Australia attempt a normal life as they wait for the arrival of a deadly radiation cloud from a war in the Northern Hemisphere the year before... and so to the second and third images.

Dont know the novel but live in Australia so I should give it a read but I think its to late as the deadly radiation cloud has been leaking from our politicans for decades :)
Great scenes but I really like the atmosphere in the last. Excellent work :)
