I just noticed the beam of light on the far right side. must have been a very strong light source. maybe an alien teleported to the surface. West Texas near El Paso area

that beam of light is interesting, I wonder what it is. the rest of the photos are cool. I haven't been to Texas since I had to take care of Mom but I used to visit a lot so these photos were nice to see.

nursing homes can be a nightmare for the elderly tenants. many facilities take good care, but others are far from proper care. especially if the patient has no visitors. one man that was born with polio has been in nursing homes his whole life. I use to buy drinks for him when I visited the old lady. unfortunately she died from coviid19. she wanted cremation so I took her remains to be in the same cemetery as her husband and her only son. her son's friends bring flowers for the graves and niche on a regular basis. it is in San Jose, Calif

My older sister has buried two husbands. both were bed ridden for years and were very despondent in last weeks. I told that she lost nothing by taking care of them . Now she needs constant help. her son is taking care of her. a doctor had prescribed medicine for her, and she was very ill from a reaction to the medicine. hopefully she will recover

Too bad you weren't closer, you could have looked for aliens ;) Nice captures.

probably snakes would be the only thing I would find. West Texas is loaded with Rattle Snakes my cousin that lives in New Mexico sent his dogs to rattle snake school. they had been bit several times and the venom is so expensive

First, I really like the photos. Fine light, and I love the feel of them. It's a big city, but it has a homey feel. As for the light, I looked for it in the first pick: I see light pouring over the top of that dark building---I hope that's it, because I cant fine another one on the right. It looks, as you say, like some alien ship landed on the roof.
As far as the pics go, real clarity and contrast. I love that old rusticated stone puilding---it looks like an H.H. Richardson building. (I'll have to look it up.) Such rich red. And such a variety of neighborhoods. The cloud shot is terrific---ominous, dark, brooding. And the final shot shows a real urban contrast---ie, that beautiful red tree standing taller than that high rise. A very sweet set.
And your descriptions of people in nursing homes, and what you've done for them, is moving as always. I've cared for people in my life, so I know how consuming it is. Kudos to you and to your older sister, and the others (Barb included) who've done this so many times. Unsung heroes, everyone...
