Just my neighborhood in snow, a few years ago. A simple pic, but you can see the magic webwork that winter creates. And all those wrought-iron fences (a trademark of my neighborhood) along with the mix of high rises and small town houses. It's really very intimate when the trees are green. But in winter, the area turns into a powdered sugar magic-land. I love walking here. And see that church? On the left (that's a church back there)....Well, I played the organ in that church. I"m a trained pianist, but the organ is a little different, esp when you hit the pedals (when all the "stops" are out): Hit the lowest pedals and you head for the hills! Those pedals will rock your house to the ground. It's a feeling like no other. Then exit the church and walk into this wonderland---it's the best. And the lake is maybe 4 blocks away...You've seen many shots of this area in full fall golds, and lush summer greens: I figured I should show the whites too...
