(I may catch up here at last, lol---it's been a delightful ride to get there!) I love this. And I love that you left the desired gift un-told. Her face "asks," but it's so subtle and gentle too. You really do this so well, these wonderfully subtle yet expressive faces. Love the softness and the very fleecy coat (great scarf too), and that heavenly light behind her. I love that you let her secret remain secret--and that she's asking for someone else. An act of real grace.
