Wonderful aircraft!

the passenger paid for a ride in the plane. I would have loved to go, but someone was waiting for in the car

the C47 behind it has red paint so it can be seen during ice and snow fall

Ah, the venerable T-28! Saw a bunch of these when I was in the Air Force - even got to work on the comms on a few of them. They have an engine sound like no other... Wonderful photo, Richard!

they certainly do and many were still being used long after the war

I have never been in a plane that did not have at least 60 seats and more than one engine Guess I would be in the chippie watching and not sitting there with wet pants

Awesome captures. Training Squadron SIX (VT-6) was initially established in 1956 and re-designated as VT-6 in May 1960. The squadron provides primary flight training to selected Student Naval Aviators (SNAs). Since its inception, VT-6 has flown a wide variety of naval training aircraft including the TC-45, T-28, T-34, and now the T-6B. The squadron serves as an indoctrination point for Naval Aviation and takes pride in building professional U.S. and International Aviators. Wikipedia
