Description
Before posing any extra, you need to decide about the age-related shape of each one. This is because the pose action item for an adult-shaped crowd figure will not give the same accurate effect on a teen-shaped figure, especially standing poses where a hand is in contact with another body part, like on the face, the waist or the other hand.
To change the shape of an extra to another predefined shape, use a one-click action from
Predefined Shapes for BIALA's Crowd Figure,
or from the Low Poly Bicycle Expansion Set for BIALA's Crowd Figure.
I do not offer any adjustment nor poses that would work properly on Biala's crowd figures whose shape has been morphed by other means, like by sliding Actor's morph dials. You would have to do your own poses and your own adjustments.
Every adult figure from my Crowd People set, have their Decrackifter morph set to almost 100%. If you reshape it to a teen (TeF, TeM) or a tween (TwF, TwM), you will need to readjust that morph. I provide a one-click solution with my freebie:
Click-Morphs Set for Biala's Crowd Figures.
Make sure that you have preinstalled all the required morphs kits:
Asian-Look Kit,
Morphs set 1 and 2
and Morphs set 5 and 6
for BIALA's Crowd Figure.
With the same Click-Morphs set, in one click, you can add modification to the figure's shape as:
having an old body shape,
having a fat body shape,
having an Asian face shape,
having a wider nose (African face shape).
These shaping morphs do not require any readjustment of the Decrackifter morph.
You can, for example apply, on a TeF shaped extra, a Fat-ON and a FaceAsian-ON morph actions.
In the illustration for the previous tutorial (03), the 2 teen girls wearing a school uniform, have been shaped after being positioned.
Adjusting the hair to fit the new shape of a crowd figure.
With a figure from the Crowd People set 7 (Type 4), you have nothing else to do, the hair is a rigged version and it will adapt automatically to the new shape. This is the case for the 2 teen girls mentioned earlier.
I do not recommend changing the shape of any figure from the Crowd People set 4 (the faraway ones).
The figures from the other sets are wearing prop hairs, glasses and a shell hair; to be more precise, they are wearing a head accessory 'group" object. Since that object is not rigged (for using fewer computer resources); after changing the figure's shape, you have to select* that object (using the Scene tab of Daz Studio), and to readjust** it, otherwise, the hair (and glasses) will look out of place and with the wrong size.
Note*; A quick select* : First, select the hair or glasses prop in the viewport, the Scene tab will automatically expand the view of its parent's lineage, its parent object Head-Accessories-Cube is displayed just above the selected prop. Then select that parent object.
Note**: To simplify the adjustment of the head accessories, have the following freebie being installed in your library :
Head Accessories for BIALA's Crowd Figure.
You can use one of its one-click actions for that readjustment. This freebie also provides other wearable head accessories.
Note: The head accessories of the FEMALE figures from the Crowd People 1,2,3,5,6 sets have the related BobHair prop and Glasses prop been set to visible, and the ShortHair prop is set to invisible. The head accessories of the MALE figures from the same Crowd People have the related ShortHair prop and Glasses prop been set to visible, and the head Cap prop is set to invisible. At any time, you can show or hide any of these props. If you set the head Cap prop visible, it is highly recommended that you hide the hair prop. All figures of the Crowd People are also wearing the shell hair with a default material. The shell hairs (like any other shell) will always follow any modification of the figure's shape.
You can also replace the hair with the rigged version, but it will require more computer resources.
Once that task has been completed, you are ready for the acting phase.
