Description

It is time to apply a one-click walking or waiting pose on each extra. Make sure that the walking or waiting pose is different from those of the other extras, especially, from the ones closest to them. Make sure that you have installed the following freestuff of mine: Walk Fast Poses for F0 and TeF shaped females, Walk Fast Poses for M1 and TeM shaped males, Walk Medium Poses for F0 and TeF shaped females, Walk Medium Poses for M1 and TeM shaped males, Walk Slow Poses for F0 and TeF shaped females, Walk Slow Poses for M1 and TeM shaped males, Waiting Poses for F0 shaped adult female, Waiting Poses for M1 shaped adult male, Waiting Poses for TeF shaped teen female, Waiting Poses for TeM shaped teen male for BIALA's Crowd Figures Walking and waiting; this is what people are doing in a business zone of a city. Most people there are otherwise socially disconnected (couples and families are rarely observed within these city zones), except business partners or college students. This is illustrated in the above picture. With the free pose sets, mentioned above, you can complete the acting phase in just a few minutes. However, if, for example, you plan to show a touristic or commercial zone of a city, other types of poses would be required, such as standing poses (that is different from waiting poses); these people will look at peculiar objects or people in the city, such as shop displays, statues, buildings, street names, traffic lights, etc. Some of my wait poses could be used for that purpose. Also, tighter interactions would be observed for outlining families, couples and friends. Probably, half of the crowd would just be walking or waiting. A similar crowd could be found in other areas, like in a shopping mall. If you are showing a residential zone, other poses are required, such as walking with a pet, climbing stairs, sitting on a bench, playing in a backyard or in a park, holding hands with a child, gardening, etc.; there are many more types of poses that are required. Luckily, there are much fewer people that are seen in a residential area. I do not plan to create these other poses; there are better ones that are provided by vendors and as free stuff for G8-G8.1 figures. A note: There are 2 figures in set 6 that are wearing prop shoes : mPolice and mWorker. Applying some poses on them might bend their toes out from the otherwise "rigid" prop shoes. If this is visible from the rendering camera, there are 2 options: 1- Straighten their toes using the pose action item from the Utility Zero, Start Poses : Zero-Toes, and if needed, adjust the leg or feet pose, or 2- Replace these shoes with the rigged (boned) version. That takes more memory, but that might be acceptable use of extra computer resources. If, from the rendering camera, their feet are hidden, just ignore them. If every crowd actor is either walking or waiting, you can complete this phase in a few minutes. When that phase is completed, your crowd looks robotic somewhat and maybe still, for your objectives, too homogenous; it would need some adjustments, this will be the subject of my next tutorials.
