After arriving in San Francisco, Mature Mark takes them to his favorite motel where he usually stays when visiting the city. Barron protests that Mark doesn't have to do any more for him but doesn't put up much of a protest since he has no place to stay. The room they get is nice with two full sized beds. The guys kick off their shoes. Mark loosens his clothes and sits on the edge of his bed while he glances over at Barron. He is reminded of the first time he met Barron and of how impressed he was by his good looks and manners. Barron jumps on his bed and pulls a couple extra pillows behind his back and starts to relax. Barron tells Mark about his past two years since the last time Mark had seen him. He quit modeling and tried to get into mainstream Hollywood but try as he could, he couldn't get a break. He'd just gotten his last rejection the day before from a studio, so in desperation, he decided to try the San Francisco solution. His most recent boyfriend had kicked him out as well so he didn't have anything but what he was wearing. That just made it easier to pick up and go to a different locale. Mature Mark on the other hand has had a very nice and profitable career modeling. He has accumulated a nice retirement. His house and Corvette are paid for. He is still in good health and has no trouble finding work. Life for him is good. He hasn't had many relationships over the years. He has found out that most of the guys he thought he liked were very superficial and egotistical. He has experienced more than his fair share of rejection and abandonment and is very cautious when approaching any relationship. He always liked Barron from the first time he met him at a photo shoot a couple years back, but they never clicked as a couple. Mark was in a relationship at the time and wasn't looking for anyone else. Once the guys settle into their room, Mark gives his agent in San Fran a call. He tells him about Barron, whom his agent remembers. His agent thinks that if Barron is still in as good a shape as Mark describes, he can get Barron some work. But he wants to see Barron before he tries. Mark assures him that Barron is still in top model form. A few trips to the gym will smooth out any rough edges and a nice day at the spa will finish him off. Mark's agent reminds him he has an engagement the next day. Mark assures him he won't miss it and that he will set Barron on a course to get him ready for inspection and perhaps possible job interviews. Mark and Barron go out for supper at a comfortable little Italian restaurant that Mark likes. The food is fantastic as is the atmosphere. They have a great time there and encounter a few of their old friends in the modeling business. They spend the night talking over old times and sharing experiences. A good time is had by all.
