Description
Sonja expertly braked the steam carriage in front of the manor and released steam pressure in the boiler with a great hiss. She exited the vehicle and rapidly climbed the stairs preceded by her tiny personal assistant clank, Miss Pannikin. Awaiting them at the front door of the mansion was the house staff, the Guardian, Fat Bob and the foreman of industrial clanks at the Darkstar Aero Conveyance testing aerodrome, a clank known as the Weasel.
"Oy! Bob, yeh bloody great knob!! Good ter see yeh!" Pannikin piped.
"Ehm. Ehm. Mind yer mouth yeh little scrap pile," Bob replied. "What 'ave yeh, Miss Steelsinger?"
"I've learned teh whereabouts of teh Lady Darkstar, Bob. What do yeh lot know of a cove called as 'teh Reanimator'?"
"Ehm. Nothin' good, I fears," Fat Bob replied.
"The Baron Michel Von Reanimeister is a distant second to the genius of Lady Darkstar's Uncle. Their competition to be the preeminent provider of mechanical contrivances has sometimes become a shade less than sporting. In short, he's a bounder well known to us!" the slender clank called the Weasel added.
"Aye," Fat Bot concurred. "What 'e says!"
"I'm not knowin' teh law will be o' much aid considerin' 'ow I comes by teh knowledge 'er ladyship's 'eld by this 'Reanimator' fellah."
Mr. Butler raised his hand and cleared his mechanical throat. "I am certain we have some maps and schematics of the Baron's stronghold located out in Steelhead Bay, Miss. There was a time when Lady Darkstar's uncle had considered some private military action against the Baron. It would be the perfect place to discreetly detain a prisoner."
"Then let's peruse these maps an' determine a course o' action!" Sonja stated. "I expect time is o' teh essence!"
Molly's art notes: Set up and rendered in Poser 12.0.1029 with some tweaking from Photoshop. I am so glad to be done with foggy nights for the time being!!😏

Very fine and detailed image which aligns perfectly with the story! Many details revealed in the story/chapter as well! Now I believe more excitement is in store for the near future? Excellent work on this continuing story, Molly! As always, many many fine kudos and accolades from me to you!

Thank you, my dear. Yes, I'm gearing up to a raid on Baron Von Reanimeister's stronghold to rescue Lilja (remember her). XD
Thanks so much for following this and taking the time to comment. I really appreciate the encouragement.

Love the variety of the "clankers" in the staff. Didn't realize BJD was still in store need to pick that up for my collection. Your storytelling and dialogue are both entertaining and inspiring.
MollyFootman
Thanks, Randy. I enjoy my clanks and that's the truth! =) The BJD is an unusual and very cute piece of content; not a lot for it to wear but the fitting room can solve that (as you will see in some future pictures of the little ones rescuing Lilja!). <--Spoiler XD

What's wrong with foffy nights?
Kidding aside, it's nice to see some of the characters in light that allows scrutiny. The variety of clanks make them more interesting.

Foffy nights? Oh... OH! Foggy nights!! XD I see you suffer from my issues with typing not unlike my own! I sometimes think I speak a second language: typonese. ;P
I'm glad you enjoy the clanks. I still have some in reserve but this is a pretty interesting crowd. I see them as considered lower caste, something like slaves or indentured servants. Sonja and Lilja get along well with them and view them as living persons even though they are mechanical and not biological. Of course, as sparks, Sonja and Lilja give clanks the ability to think on their own, a form of programming. Lilja, hasn't yet discovered she is a spark but more on that in coming installments. =)
