I have decided to update the "wardrobe" (^^) of my Wood Elves. It was something I was thinking about since quite some time but haven't dive into until now. So, if Wood Elves still prefer to live naked, they will now all sport at least one or two jewels made of silver. Silver, by its color, is associated to Mina, the Moon of Mindelmar, but also to the Goddess Mina, the embodiment of the Moon. Mina, more often called Yamina (Mother Moon), by the Elves, is the tutelary Goddess of the Wood Elves. Thus, silver, the metal associated to the Goddess, is sacred to them and that's why they are wearing jewels made of it. Elves with silver hair are also respected, because considered blessed by the Goddess. For the record, High Elves are venerating Ann, the Sun. Gold been associated to the Sun, they are all wearing some. Here in the picture you have Yalza. Yalza is the Druidess of the clan Yoluhujej and the mother of Minalva. As the Druidess, she often wears more silver than the others. She is only 141 years old (at the time of the first story arc), but because of her status of Druidess she is considered like an Elder on the clan. Yalza have had five children with her mate Kiyamah. Karann L'va, Alvajinmina, Jolel, Minalva and Kar-Yol. Minalva being the only daughter. Karann L'va and Alvajinmina are deceased. How and when, I still haven't decided, but it was way before the birth of Minalva. Biologically, Yalza was already too old to have children after Jolel, but and maybe because of the death of her two older sons, her and Kiyamah decided to have more. She used her knowledge of the secrets of the Nature to be able to conceive two more time. Thus giving birth to Minalva, then Kar-Yol. I think it is important to precise that it is not all Druids or Druidesses that can do that. If she has been able to do it, it's because she is very gifted. Her mate Kiyamah, whom she was deeply in love with, has disappeared few before the birth of Kar-Yol. He is presumed dead. Yalza is also, kind of, the adopted mother of Fiëndel. A child without parents becomes "Child of the tribe", which means that everybody has the charge to take care of him or her. But Yalza and Fiëndel (alias Fifi) have created a very strong bond and everybody in the clan consider them as close as mother an daughter. Yalza has an older brother named Yolfuu.
