Là aussi, j'apprécie ta scène de genre. Le lien entre les tableaux et la jeune femme chargée de l'entretien est bien vu. Je suis allé plusieurs fois en Belgique et aux Pays-Bas et je me suis régalé avec les peintres Flamands et Hollandais, du XVème au XVIIème siècle : ces peintres ont su donner une âme à leurs œuvres, du religieux originel - facile- au quotidien le plus prosaïque - bien plus difficile-.

Je suis d'accord avec toi sur ce qui fait le plaisir à s'attarder dans la contemplation des scènes de genre. Le moindre petit détail est un ravissement.

I love how the contemporary cleaning lady's posture echoes the posture of the servant in the painting behind her. I really like these very common, everyday scenes that seem to be the subject of painters like Pieter de Hooch. Thanks, as always, for guiding my eye to artwork worth viewing and for sharing what it inspires you to imagine. <3
