Description


Spring is busy for the critters. Saw lots of tracks on the last snow shoe trek of the season. Am thinking the larger is a douglas squirrel and the smaller bisecting track a field mouse or vole. Second photo with my hand just for size comparison.

If the tracks vanish all the sudden that means an owl got the critter. Everyone here uses banana for scale lol Nice find!

Man you're better at identifying prints than me! My best guess would be they were footprints and that's how far I'd get! Nice how you did a size comparison photo as well

Thanks, it was fun to see them. Spent a lot of time as a youth with my grandfather and he'd help me identify tracks.
