Description

A suivre… Merci pour votre visite et vos commentaires. Alteration II Art practice classes were what they were, with more or less appeal. Among the favorites of the young student, there were those of drawing from a living model. She wasn't one of the best at capturing proportions, but she sure caught something of the model's presence. Often, this led her into an imaginary well beyond what the pose offered, and the young designer found herself plunging into the abyss of her identity. Constantly smudging her drawing, it seemed to her that each line placed on her sheet added a wrinkle to her future as an artist. Staring vaguely at the model's foot, she began to think of Balzac's "Unknown Masterpiece". To be continued… Thanks for your visit and your comments.

Her inner self is again depicted as a translucent portrait, a technique I am enjoying very much. I find it interesting that she is transfixed by the model's foot, the only bit plainly discernible at the end of Balzac's story. Does she perhaps feel she can never capture and express beauty with her attempts at art? The second entry in this series did not disappoint me! Thank you for sharing. =)
