Description
The fighters faced off, their two different fighting styles immediately apparent. Who would triumph?
Molly's art notes: Set up and rendered with Poser 13.0.339 and tweaked with the Superfly Cycles X rendering engine within Poser and Photoshop outside of Poser (Probably too much spectral bloom 🙄). The setting is by Coflek-Gnorg. Mai is based on the V4 mesh with modifications by -=Wartech=- and Chun Li is based on the Maya Doll. Tweaking their old Firefly textures was accomplished in part by an excellent skin editing tool by ken1171.
I have some small experience with the martial arts having studied a modern form called Kaju Kenpo (many years ago 😏) and fighting as an art is fascinating. I have virtually no experience with personal combat video games but I love the looks of the characters. Let me issue an apology in advance if any fans of the games feel I've missed the essence of the characters or their movement.
Finally, Mai belongs to SNK and Chun Li to Capcom. This image is fan art and is free to enjoy. Teh Mollz makes not one red cent on it and just enjoys sharing it.

Thank you, Barb. I retextured the fans as they looked kind of bland as -=Wartech=- provided them. I used one of the Poser Oriental materials by Parrotdolphin. =)

I don't know who to route for Mia or Chun Li. Li may have an advantage with those spike wrist bands and spinning bird kick. Very clean as usual and I say just enough bloom, Too bad there's no place to add lens flares. >.

I can see them fighting to a draw but if I had to pick one I'd go for Chun Li as I like her costume just a tad better. <-- Yes.... I'm a girl and costumes are VERY important! ;-)

It reminds me a lot Street Fighter. I remember that i have played a lot in this games, as well as other good old games when i was a kid. But i can definitely say that i play them a lot now. For this reason i have bought bartop arcade machine because i like to play them even now. Believe me that these games are definitely good and fascinating so i gladly relieve all those emotions i had then

Almost missed this one. Very artsy Mollz in a good way - and colorful. The fan is nest though I'm not sure how she'll use it having never played a street fighting game and lacking practiced familiar with any martial arts beyond 19th century bayonet fencing and a respect for Krav Maga....

Fans are not part of the martial art that I studied long ago but I am given to understand that fighting with them is a matter of distraction and misdirection. The character is from some very old game called "Fatal Fury" which depicts her sometimes with a folded fan in her mouth to free a hand for fighting; she uses her legs and feet a lot as does the Chun Li character. Before I did the picture I researched them both a bit on You Tube. =)
Although I enjoyed doing a picture with this pair of colorful characters I don't plan any particular series for them although I might be moved to do another picture now and again featuring one or both of them. ;-)
