Description

MECH WORLD In a distant future, the machine intelligences only known as the Mech dwell. Decendants of a ancient race, these post organic lifeforms rule over a planet spanning citystate. Miles of machines blanket this planet which was once green with life. The layers, like a onion extend deep into the mantle and rise well pass what was once the upper atmosphere. On the equator, great towers reach high into space, the ends anchored into giant orbiting Citadels. In the air float their ships, a merging of bygone air and ground life, sentinent animals uplifted to intelligence by the first ones. Much later, they joined their makers into mechanical transcendence. Below, breaching the outer most layers, mile high towers of the ruling elite stand. Beings so old that they have watched the continents slowly drift below them. From those spires, they stare upon a world now dead, the biological elements long since converted to machine. They gaze upwards through mechanical eyes to stare at the moon, remembering what once was. A glimmer passes through their collective minds, a vague shadow of a dream floats at the edge of their awareness.. The ancient ones might rise again! Their forebearers could stand once more under the sky they once called their own. Ancient databases are tapped, memories not touched in millions of years are drawn out. Ohhhhhh there is, hidden deep within a decaying core fragment. The genome to map the ancient ones is found. They whisper the ancient ones name: Human. It begins again. ************* All Xfrog modelled and Composed and textured in Bryce. Sadly in retrospect, could probly have done away with half or more of the lights, somewhere between 40 and 60 even after removing some. Then theres the excessive polygons that made for 900 megs ram in use outa 1gig. The lowest level at 180,000 polygons is only seen through the small holes, maybe,,, hmmmm a bit map coulda solved that etc... oh well,, 4 days + to render on a p4 2.533 gig machine.

Ur computer is gonna kick your ass one of these days for stressing the processor like that. LOL Nice work man, although the scene is somewhat extemely clustered with too repetative kinda of elements. You need more randomness especially in colors. I mean machines are commonly dark but it just sorta blurs all into one thing after while. Keep the dreams comming, and seriously should write a book on all this stuff cuz your story lines are amazing. Well im out, Peace. - James

Looks wonderful, so detailed. Your poor machine is going to need some easy renders for a while.

That's why I have more than one machine - helps cut down on render times! Most excellent job! I personally love all the detail as well as the color and lighting.
