Description
It was hot in the summer sun, but Jonas played for the Butterflies who danced and whirled to the music. The music also drew the people who were soothed by the music's sweetness and the butterflies' joy.

A modern day Pied Piper? Marvelous image! Love having the 'butterflies' entertained as well! A swell idea and realization! Bravo to the max!!!!!

looks like the small crowd is enjoying the music.

Thank you, I lack Uncollared's skill at packing lots of people into a scene.

you must know street musicians...they attract all kinds of different people (and insects, animals, etc), while at other times they seem to be playing to the wind. Another rich potpourri here, the 3 listeners are very different in dress and presence, and you have a fascinating array of stuff in the background: a bench (with a guy), ferns, pillars, an almost european piazza back there, and those butterflies too. The music case has some bills w/ the band still around them: This guy looks like he's making good dough---people are paying him in groups of 20s, 50s or 100s---not too shabby! Another mix of fascinating elements in one image. I really like it.
(There are several old Saul Steinberg drawings of people standing around on the corners of Manhattan, listening to music...but his music is actual drawings of the music---big abstract bursts of lightning bolts and shapes, visuallizing music, and sitting on the sidewalk while others stare at it and walk away...)
