Description
In the mirror's gaze, a world revolves,
Egotism blooms, self-love absolves,
A portrait painted in hues of "I,"
A realm where empathy tends to die.
Echoes of praise, a constant song,
Yet empathy and connection, gone,
In the chambers of self, forever confined,
Narcissism's grip, a narrow mind.

the trouble w. narcissists is that they're so good at mimicking empathy and friendship when it suits their purposes, so it's hard to discern at first... however, over time it becomes more & more apparent... i think it's a pitiful way to live, but i've not much pity for it as there are healthier and less damaging ways to deal with one's insecurities than using others to prop one's self up with, and i simply abhor certain types of manipulative people... that's just me tho... shrug
great job on the image itself, btw... i particularly love the 'squish' of her clothing against her flesh, and just how kind of empty/fake her smile seems to read, to my eyes at least... :))
