Thank you! The pose is #9 from "Phantasie for A4". Since this is a NVIATWAS, I have used V4 instead of Dawn (for authenticity). But the twist was to render it with AI instead of Poser for something new. ^____^

The AI part is pretty obvious. I've been mess'n with that for some months. If Poser has tools to better integrate with it, that's a smart marketing move. The AI (at least stable-diffusion) is still pretty tough to get something NOT pin-up related to match my expectations.

This image was made with a tool I have created to integrate Poser with Stable Diffusion, so I can set up the scene in Poser, and flesh it out in SD. The "Open Pose" plugin for Poser is listed in the "Production Credits" below the main text above. I am pretty much a pinup artist, but I was able to make all sorts of other things with SD, like for example, the Christmas pic I posted earlier this week (not a pinup). I use a different AI model depending on what I am trying to do. Was there something in particular you were trying to do? :)

Well, the very first Ai image I tried to do and failed was some celerity walking on the moon surface with a lunar module in the background. None had an lunar module, and 80% of the images stable diffusion produced were likely palm springs scenes, as they had atmosphere and swimming pools in the background! So Ai is fun, and I can create hundreds of nudy pics in a few minutes, but if I'm trying to tell a story, that is bit harder.

Based on your description, it sounds like you may be using the wrong model and/or workflow for the task. Some models are specialized on pinups, and won't give you anything else because that's all they were trained for. You have to use the right model, and this has nothing to do with SD itself.

In addition, there are techniques like Image2image that could get what you want much easier. Just make a rough sketch of the general image, and SD can flesh it out for you. There are several ways to approach this using ControlNet. Prompts alone can only get you random things, but if you want specifics, you must use ControlNet combined with Image2Image. Once you choose the right model and workflow, you can do anything with ControlNet. I am not just saying it - I have done it myself. Those are things that are worth learning. 🙂

Thanks! The workflow I am using here is something new I have created this year using the OpenPose plugin for Poser. The way it works is I use a Poser figure to establish a pose and a camera framing, and then use my plugin to export it to Stable Diffusion, which is where the character and background location will be fleshed out and rendered. From Poser, I am only using the pose and the camera framing. I have spent most of 2023 exploring this new universe of possibilities, using Poser to establish the character body proportions, pose, and camera framing, and then fleshing out the details in SD. This gives us an infinite library of locations, clothing, body morphs, textures and hair styles. The limit is your imagination. 😁

Great pin up picture as usual, my dear. I enjoyed reading your interaction with cadman, too, as it gave me some helpful glimmers as I continue to work on AI. I don't think it will ever become a primary tool for me, but you never know. I certainly appreciate all the scripts you have done for Poser as they really help me in so many ways.

Thanks, Molly! Having used Poser for 20 years, I was itching for something new to expand the horizons, and AI is just that - a tool that gives me new ways to expand artistic expression. It frees me from being unable to express an idea just because I lacked the 3D resources. At least to me, it has been a liberating experience. 😊
