Description

Hello dear people, I know it's been a while since I've been here, and suddenly there was a message in my inbox about the holiday challenge. Despite I'm struggling with various 'medical abbreviations,' (LOL) I couldn't resist participating in this challenge. Since you could submit 5 entries and also share them in your gallery, I'm posting all my entries here at once. It would be nice if I could encourage other fractal artists and/or photographers to participate as well, because I noticed very few or no fractals and photos among the entries. I also wish you all the very best for a blessed 2024. With love, Jacomina. Here the accompanying text of the entries, in order. 1 The stars in the night at Christmas Here, my intention was to emphasize the atmosphere surrounding Christmas. I started by creating a fractal, which is the square in the image. I deliberately kept the colors blue, grey, and white. Also I used one of my styles over it. In PSP, I added the small stars using tubes and a background. I cut out the larger stars and added them via a new layer. 2 And the shepherds in the field suddenly saw a special light appear. This is the light (seen in yellow) that appeared to the shepherds in the field, guiding them to the stable. In this fractal, the green color, visible in the distance is like an opening, depicting where the shepherds found Jesus, Mary, and Joseph in the stable. I used Apophysis 3D Hack, edited it just a little by adding a background in PSP, after which I cut out the fractal so that I got the right ratio, because "the stable" had to appear in the middle of the yellow. 3 In great joy This is a photo I took at a Christmas market. The lovely lady in the photo is real, and I also find her very sweet. In any case, I felt that the scene radiated so much joy that I wanted to share it with you here. 4 Symbolically, the Three Wise Men Three times a star in different colors, but in the same shape. The same shape because this form represents their Wisdom. ;-) In other words, these are the three Wise Men from the East from the Christmas story. Made with Apophysis 3D Hack and combined in PSP, then framed. 5Accompanied by a heavenly light Christmas can resemble a flower, always accompanied by a heavenly light. Let's hope that this world will once and for all be bathed in a heavenly light. I tried to visualize this using my favorite fractal program, also incorporating flowers of hope on their way toward total peace on earth. btw, as sung in a Christmas carol: 'Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men” (Luke 2:10–14).
