Milly, called the 'Dark Savant' by some who have worked with her, felt the murderous aura approaching from above, where the alien had already assumed a slightly advantageous position. She loosened her limbs, including the grip on her weapons - something rookies find hard to do, instead choosing to tighten their grip, which in turn led to more stress on the body, and resulted in stiff, less fluid movements - and used her Talent to make precise calculations.
