Description
"My colleagues... oh, they sit in front of the piano and I'm sure they think, 'Now I, the Virtuoso, will put *my* music into this lifeless instrument'. Well, when I sit down in front of the keyboard, I don't put anything in it. I take the music *out* of it."
(Glenn Gould, interview with Bruno Montsaingeon - translated from Italian by myself, so if it's inaccurate the blame is all mine.)

Hi everybody. This is my hommage to Glenn Gould, who in my opinion was the greatest pianist ever. His music (specially his interpretations of Bach and Beethoven) have enligthened my life and my work since I was 14. He stopped giving public performances back in 1964, when he was only 32, and he spent the rest of his career in the recording studios: that's why I tried to depict him in this environment. He hated the sustain pedal, so he used to take off his right shoe to better "feel" the lever and apply the slightest pressure possible. He died in Canada, his homeland, in 1982.

Ahh... I wish I had seen this image when it came out, but now I comment, more than a year late... sorry:_____I love this image. It would make a fantastic poster. I agree with Kantele unfortunately, his leg does seem to go into the chair, but overall that doesn't matter to me because this image is so powerfully and masterfully done. Fantastic; a wonderful tribute to Good old Glenn.
