"Just these robots and no others?"
"For the moment, sir."
"May I ask of what crime they are accused?"
"Refusing to register for the Census, sir."
"That's never been a reason for jailing anyone before."
"Couldn't say, sir, orders is orders."
"I see. Have they been offered any legal help? A lawyer, perhaps?"
"No idea, sir, but the Ministry suggested that as robots are not humans they are not entitled to lawyers, sir."
"Thank you, officer, I shall look into this."
Chorus of Chompers behind the bars: " Go get them, Kargy!"
"Patience, you lot. I shall be back."
Right, thought Kargaz, this will need some thought.
I shall have a chat with Chomper himself.
There's a wagon-load of chompers arriving at the other gate. Looks bad.

I wonder what ideas Chomper can give him. I wonder if Chomper kept in touch with poor James...he must be worried sick... Things are getting complicated LOL.

"The Ministry of Waste and Recycling is also taking an interest in this matter." So there might be repercussions for James, too, and his 'rescue shelter' for bots ...
