Contributions from Richard mostly, and Tracy only rarely . Albert unfortunately, is no longer with us to type his thoughts - however as most of them were unprintable, it's probably better that he can't type them.
BIO
Richard's a Mechanical Engineer specialising in Stress Analysis. Due to the poor state of Finite Element Modellers he's spent a fair bit of time writing translators to enable packages like Poser, Studio, Truspace etc to act as modellers for mechanical products. Why not use CAD.. Because the file formats are too complex! Tracy is a Library assistant in Europe's largest learning resource centre (University library & computer department to most!). We used to have a character cat called Albert. He features in a picture or two.
Richard occasionally makes a few freebies which he distributes with the aide of Renderosity, mostly as a way of saying 'Thank you' for the help he's been given over the years by other members of the community. Though, making these items does also act as an outlet for a need to create that is occasionally stifled by the paperwork associated with his job.

Wonderful scene!

Thank you, I enjoyed putting it together.

great scene and pose

Thank you for the comment on the pose. It wasn't very easy to get a pose that implied climbing out of the gorge was difficult while not strongly showing off Victoria 3's joint limitations. As a result I had to reduce the knee, thigh and elbow bends quite a lot from where I wanted them to be. However, the ones I ended up with are enough for a non-climber to feel that they would be difficult to do.

Great pose work and scene! Love the angle choice on this perspective too, you can see where she came from more than her journey forward, giving an air mystery or the unknown.

Thank you. Hadn't really actively thought of that, but it's the view that felt right, looking upwards didn't seem to enhance the apparent danger.

Great image! It's nice to see V3 still getting some love now and again. lol And nice job fitting the clothes and hair from other figures to her. Her joints came out really well, given their limitations. Excellent perspective for her predicament and nice detail with the boat filling up with water in the background. Well done!

Thank you. Strangely enough fitting the clothes wasn't hard. I have gone through the process of converting this character to TriAx weight mapping, adding autofit clones and autofollow morphs. As a result this character can morph into every Generation 3 Unimesh character I have (V3, A3, GND2, GV3, IV, M3, F3, SF3 + 2 other V3 characters) while wearing V3, M3, V4, M4, G3F, G3M, G8F or G8M clothing. The autofit clones are adequate, rather than great, but they mean a figure as difficult to clothe as GV3 has an astonishing range of clothes open to use. I've found G3F tend to work a bit better than G8F, but both work well. I wrote a tutorial on how to do it here: https://www.renderosity.com/freestuff/items/96369/tutorial-triax-figures-from-old-parametric-figures . The tutorial is based on A3, because more people still use A3 than V3, and I had already gone through the process with GV3 to work it out. I did NO modelling at any point, just worked it through in DS, creating the Autofit clones by shaping poses applied to V3 or M3. Means V3 has many of the benefits of current characters. The rigging and joint shapes, however, are unchanged. Need to figure that out eventually, but it's beyond me at the moment.

Many thanks for all your comments. Please forgive me if I don't answer them all. They are all read and all appreciated. The scene was an Andrey Prestriacov one I have not used enough, and plan on using again when I can think of a need for it.
