Hi, from South Texas.
I like to swim, play cards and play on this computer with all sorts of programs. I am also an avid reader, mostly fiction.
I am glad you stopped by.....hope you will take time to look at my gallery. As a side note, I am honored to have been chosen as Artist of the Month for December 2022. Thanks to all that voted.

This is great, although I'm a bit worried you might be getting seduced by the dark side, as I was ;-)

Picture # 3 reminds me of my grandmother, though she never wore hats or earrings in her life and very rarely wore other jewelry. She was nearly 92 when I lost her, will be 21 years ago come August. I still miss her terribly, but have many good memories.
Beautiful work, and don't let anyone tell you all AI art is soulless -- I saw that exact same expression on my Nan's face and in her eyes the day she got the phone call from one of the nieces to say that the brother who lived too far away for them to visit so she hadn't seen him in years had passed away.
Well done!

I should be going forward in your gallery, not backwards, but I keep doing the latter because I want to comment on everything I see. With these grief images, I remember your huge library of single portraits, in which you always get such complex expression, often with several expressions wrapped into one very human gaze. The 3 women here show grief, but also inner strength, and wisdom; the wisdom that comes with age. In a site filled with images of 20 somethings one after the next, these portraits are real gifts.
The lighting in the 1st and 3d is very expressive, it feels like the kind of light people work very hard for in 3D. The details in the faces are very real and vivid, and the eyes tell of depth and the understanding that comes with age. (This is grief with a whole life behind it.) The 2d image has more light than the other 2, and a little more 'painterly' feel, and it's gorgeous, Lyla. These are deep portraits. And again, how you brought Sunbeam's vibrant jazzy abstract visual street-fair into your portraits is amazing. I guess someone can throw an image at you, out of the blue, and tell you "make something out of it!" And you'll do it. Beautiful and truthful work.
