Description

These are the Sanfoin- and the Eastern-Burnetts (Zygaena loti/ carniolica). The are confused with Moths very often, but are kind of archaic Butterflies, which come from times all could fold their Wings in contrast to most modern Types. The Colors are a Warning: Do not eat me, I am very poisonous! (Cyanic Acid!) The Checkerboard (Melanargia galathea) is very common here, but always a pleasure to watch their peaceful Dances.
