Description
I got to know this large Coast-Fir in the 90s and admired the Strength and Power of Growth it showed (Broad Rings!). During the severe Drought of 2023 it was killed by a agressive Fungus at the Age of around 60 Years. Beeing cut for Wood the Treerings appeared, which showed a deeper Reason:
Since 16 Years the Tree showed only minimal Growth. Looking up the Weather-Records I found that perfectly correlated to the diminishing Rainfalls during Summer! As a Plant adapted to the american Northwest-Coasts it had no Chance to survive.
But happily I found a lot of Seedlings near and far! :)
Who will be reading Our Treerings? ;)

I rather think that, when we are gone, there will be nothing to count our rings. Nice photo and text though. :-)

Thank You, Staticon! I dare not speculate about Philosophy or Religion, but I think our "Treerings" is all hat we do, say, move, suffer, everything that sends out Waves in our little Ponds and change the currents. ... I hope so! ;)

It's great you stopped to look at the tree rings, as you said it can tell you a lot! Sad it had to be cut down.

Neat perspective and impressive growth rings in the middle years. Were it so that my middle years had such impressive growth :)
