Description
Ship's surrogate body and the young girl, Starbelle, arrived at the antechamber leading to the bridge.
"I can enter without your accompaniment, Starbelle," the Ship offered. "If the intruder is inclined to violence the surrogate body might be lost but I'll be fine as I am distributed throughout the ship and many other surrogates."
"Hmm. Maybe that would be smart," the girl replied. "Let's move closer to the doors and when they open, we can have a peek. I'll fall back and let you proceed if the intruder appears dangerous."
"As you wish," Ship answered. "Let us proceed cautiously to the doors and have a look at the intruder."
Molly's art notes: Set up and rendered using Superfly Cycles X in Poser 13.3.686. Some postwork was accomplished in Superfly and a tad more in Photoshop. The character of young Starbelle is based on La Femme. Ship's surrogate is based upon V4. The setting is by Vanishing Point. As usual, I found scripts by Ken1171_Design indispensible.
Nudity checked because of the very brief covering worn by the Cybernetic Surrogate of Ship which closely resembles a human female form. 😉

Thank you, Joe. It's pretty much the opposite of the world I live in which is quite cluttered with a complex palette in which no particular color dominates. Maybe that's what attracts me to some science fiction setting like this one. XD

I really like the clean / sterile ship interior - it suits the story and this scene in particular very well. Good stuff here, Molly!

Thank you, Rod. I felt like, even in the present, machine intelligence is kind of in the cloud so it seemed reasonable to assume that in the distant future Ship is kind of omnipresent and very adequately backed up. XD I'm glad the interior works for you; it's the first time I've used Vanishing Point's content to any great extent in my stories and I am finding that with only a little retexturing it looks very good. =)

Moving along nicely. Starbelle's letting thge surrogater gop in first makes sense. Wonder if the surrogate can be reconstituted if slagged by baddies? Would be nice to have a corporeal entity aboard, but should it/she perish, Molly's scenes become a little easier :)
Moving on to comment on the next.

Thanks for taking the time to comment, my dear. The surrogate doesn't contain the whole of Ship's AI; Ship is distributed across the network of the physical ship and other surrogates and has multiple back ups. Starbelle takes great comfort from this particular surrogate which is humanoid in appearance. Other surrogates have fewer humanoid characteristics depending on the task for which they were designed. =)
