Description
George Frideric Handel was the undisputed master of the high baroque style. His orchestral and choral works have remained hugely popular for over 300 years and the Halleluiah chorus from "Messiah" is probably the best known piece of choral music ever written. He combined his flair for composition with a flair for the dramatic, whether in one of the lavish operas staged by his own opera companies, or orchestral flotillas on the Thames, or the coronation anthem that has been played at every single British coronation since 1727...
He was in many respects the Beatles of his time... Higly respected, hugely popular, swooning fans aplenty and the undisputed master of a good snappy tune. Among my personal favourites are the Bourees and Hornpipes from his first and second Water Music suites; each only a couple of minutes long but instantly memorable... the closest thing i've come across to Classical earworms!

What do I see ? The devil in the details ? Are the cats having sex or is it my twisted mind ? GF Haendel is among my favorite composers, as I told you lately ; I have a strong inclination for his concerti grossi 3 and 6. Coming back to your image, what could I say to express clearly my admiration ?
