Description
Starbelle and the Surrogate of Ship moved toward the door to the bridge and the automatic opening mechanism activated, moving the door with a barely audible swoosh. The intruder stood before them, motionless, evidently in deep contemplation.
It's humanoid," Starbelle murmured. "Vaguely female." She looked toward Ship's Surrogate and allowed, "It doesn't look particularly violent. I think we should approach it."
"You might feel differently if it had blocked you from accessing some of your own body, Starbelle," Ship replied. "Still, cautious approach seems reasonable at this point."
Molly's art notes: Set up and rendered using Superfly Cycles X in Poser 13.3.686. Some postwork was accomplished in Superfly and a tad more in Photoshop. The character of young Starbelle is based on La Femme. Ship's surrogate and the alien intruder arwe based upon V4. The setting is by Vanishing Point. As usual, I found scripts by Ken1171_Design indispensible.
Nudity checked because of the very brief coverings worn by the Cybernetic Surrogate of Ship and the Alien Intruder whose body shapes closely resemble the human female form. 😉

Well staged - like the scene focusing on the new element with the previously introfuced characters tied in. You have a wonderful cacxhwe of old assets that still shine when properly used. VYK and prae are still creating great assets and VanishinpPoint never disappoints.
Good to see the story progress with a broad plot brush. The intruder could be benevolent, or evil, or something ion between. Fun to guess.
Clean, simple scene - though I'm guessing it was a chore to set up. The simpler ones always seem to take longer per asset and pose than the clutter-bombs as everything has to be spot-on....

Thanks for all those very kind observations. As you suspected I did mess with the scene longer than one would think based on it's simplicity. >.< I really enjoy mixing up new and old assets for a wider range of looks. =)

Thank you, Joe. I enjoy creating characters so much that I have literally dozens that have never seen any place more than my PC desktop. XD I hope I'll be able to focus enough to take this series to the end of what I consider to be the first chapter, at least. I get distracted my new ideas and shiny things so easily... >.<

I think the cautious approach is definitely a good idea here. I like the way the scene is set up as jdwtrxk noted. Attention is focused on the uninvited "guest" as Starbelle and Surrogate enter and wonder what the heck is going on.. Excellent work on this scene and story, Molly!

Thank you, Rod. That's a lovely compliment! I see myself more as an illustrator of stories than as an artist in the pure sense of the word. Pretty much every picture I do has a story idea behind it even if I don't flesh the idea out. =)

Heh. XD Their rather brief attire certainly has similarities that I hadn't really been thinking about when I put together the characters. Thanks for the comment, it gave me a good giggle! =)
