A few minor changes to my Toon style swimming pool (freebie WIP) make a big improvement I think. Main image is a Poser 11 Superfly render as is the second. Third is a Poser 11 Firefly render - no idea where the vertical white lines on the pool walls come from. Fourth is a Poser preview pane screenshot. 5th - Blender screenshot 6th,7th - Poser 11 material room screenshots 8th - UV map - pool bottom, pool surround, water plane via Project from view (bounds), pool rim and pool sides via something else and lots of manual fiddling, diving board and ladder not mapped yet and probably won't bother At 1,354 vertices and 1,227 faces it's about double the original. The diving board and pool surround use the original mesh while the pool and ladder use the original plus one level of subdivision. The water surface is now a single trapezoidal quad. I redid the UV mapping for the pool rim and sides. I'm rather pleased with the pool rim - the 64 horizontal faces map to an 8x8grid on the UV map allowing me to use a simple Tile node to create the fitted paving blocks effect. The blue pool tiles are a lot better for the remap, although not quite right at the top - I think I have to use a multiple of 4 for the Tile node. One thing I'll definitely need to add - the word "BOING!" in big 3D letters near the diving board.
