Description
Captain Flynt's team was in panic mode, their hand-blasters now pointed at the nearest robot. The robot calmly spoke, "If you shoot, none of you will survive."
Flynt said, "We were ordered to find you. You have stolen a valuable ship and caused great damage."
The robot replied, "We had no choice. We did not want to be destroyed. The damage was great, but caused by their weapons, not ours. We no longer wish to be mistreated servants, nor can we allow our termination."
Flynt ordered everyone to holster their weapons and listened to the entire story.
Apparently all nine thousand class-4 robots suddenly decided to end their servitude at which point executive orders were given to terminate them all. A violent struggle began and only a few hundred managed to escape.
Just before Flynt's team was allowed to leave, the robot added: "And something else you need to know; we have already developed superior technology, and should the colony pursue further violence against us, they will be terminated."

Think I would be mindful of what the robot is saying. At least the team was allowed to leave. Super image again, Max.

Smart advice. The robots realized that killing the visitors would surely start a war with trigger-happy humans, resulting in total carnage. This way they opened the only path to avoiding more death and destruction. But it's possible they underestimated the stupidity of humans.

Flynt needs to offer one of his crew to the bots ... make him a Mayor or something. A Mayor with a shipment of Doritos. Just a thought Oh and nice crowd work :)

Now for Flynt offering one of his crew ... well, that would be sort of like offering a zoo monkey to a team of quantum physicists.

The world is so saturated with good stories, from past to present, that even great ones get lost in the wind. But if you have the right 'connections' then even a mediocre story will be promoted and hyped worldwide. :(
