Description
It was so special to be part of this moment, helping the baby turtle to the water, the beginning of new life. A native species to Canada, it is a baby snapping turtle. This nest hatching is especially special to me because I was lucky enough to witness with a volunteer the mother finish nesting and then we helped protect her nest with a turtle protector. So happy all went well with these little ones! I'm not a volunteer but I help where I can like many others who frequent the park and I'm so happy to see the little turtles make it.
