Description
The Constellation Orion is one of the most prominent on the norther Hemisphere. The so called Belt of Orion consists of three Stars, named by the arabian Astronomers as Alnitak, Alnilam and Mintaka. They are not single Stars but Clusters with great Magnitude of Light, so that they are known to all Cultures, especially by all Seafarers.
Behind the Belt lies a great reddish Cloud of ionized Hydrogen, that cannot be seen with naked Eye, but as a special Service here in the Image. :)
Orion was a mighty Hunter in the ancient greek Lore, that was killed by Hera and set into the Stars by Zeus.
