Klasse Surface.Ein super Bild...

Absolutely lovely strata (no, it's not to straight, toubab ;-) it's lowered at some places). But i agree about the vegetation distribution (on the left) ... that's the one and only point to improve this excellent picture!

cool pic lars - surface & terrain is perfect - i would try a sundown & darker grass, i think it would be more dramatic, but i'm not sure that the image would be better
eponce
Woow! excellent my friend! Terrain is perfect. and the stratas! cool! Very realistic!!! Congratulations! Top 20 for me =)
christianfly

hey lars, wirklich gut, nur die grenze vom gr finde ich zu gerade, vielleicht kntest du die grenzen softer machen. aber sche texturen. weiter so, knen dann freitag mit unserem bild weitermachen :)

strata and grass ... a little too straight, but ... don't matter
engineer
pretty realistic, no doubt... and a wonderful pic, too. the only improvements I can think off would be to bend the strata in the background and to add one in the foreground...
Xabre
Texturing is a bit unreal but a very nice pic (clouds are wow!)

Gorgeous picture to look at. Easy to get lost in it

Really a cool one!

WOW this terrain is beautiful! Stratas are very well done and realistic (just the limit strata/no strata is a bit strong) and in fact all textures are wonderful. Just as you said I think greens need a better distribution... Superb water and very nice sky also. A wonderful and excellent work!
lucbianco
Superb texture ... but IMO light/atmosphere could be improved
prutzworks
get rid of the greens and replace it by sage/drybush disable 3dclouds succes

strata should only be visible when really steep. This picture shows strata on steep, and the debrit slope. It is a pretty real lookin pic already.

Wooowwwwww...Great colors, terrain and surface. Top !!!

Sehr gutes Bild. Meiner Meinung nach ist das Wasser auch noch zu ruhig.

I like this image, but with a "dramatic sundown canyon version" it could be more interesting, but that is a matter of taste :-)
Der_Alte
like it very much! looking forward to the next version!! excellent!

This is fantastic. Very unique work with your own style.
limnson
can this be rendered at 4095 x 4095 terrain and render size? that would be an interesting addition. (My comp wouldn't make it)
Longrider
Fantastic terrain work X.

Thank you all for your suggestions and comments. I am very gratefull for this. Below is the list of issues until now (yours and my own). I will have a look at it when I have some more time for possible improvements, probably in in about 4 weeks, and then start making a second version.
And a few of my own additional thoughts: - Some of the rock texture down left look a bit "streched".
