Darn fine work for a first try. Actually, this would be really great work as a 20th try. Stick with it and keep at it!

Awesome work! It is only my opinion, but I personally think that adding a little white to the aura around the temple and turning the opacity down a bit to make it more transparent would make it look a bit more magical. Never-the-less, much better than I could do! Great work!
