Description

*Every smattering of our knowledge, it starts from feelings.* Leonardo Da Vinci --------------------- This is another work composed in natural media, postworked in Photoshop (To use with fun that Extrude filter.. :P I must admit!) and Painter, which was part of the past December Theme in the 2D Forum. The need of human touch is universal. To believe we are the only creatures who needs and deserves it it's a fake and very presumptious assumption. But sadly, human beings are not only strict about this touch towards others creatures, but also among themselves.Which turns out to be a very sad, sad thing don't you think? Anyway, enjoy.. next piece will be my contribute to the January Theme , Fire and Ice, and my second attempt at Photoshop Colouring ;)

To feel compassion for other life may be one of our more human traits, and if it is so, it may be due to a feeling deep down inside that makes us aware that there are more similarities than differences between them and us. I like this one a lot, it's well done and well felt.

I love this artwork really much. Ever since I saw it. :) It is just so sweet. And I could say a thousand things about it all..but I will let it shine without any of my words either.. :) Probably, well actually definitely, one of my favourites of everything you have ever done :) Warmth as its warmest. And it has you in it. You can really see your soul as well. And that is what makes art good. And in this case, fantastic :)

I really love the impressionistic feel here and the monkey is painted really well. Hmmm...to say everything should have a human touch is quite presumptious itself as it segragates humans from all other evolution and truly believes everything would be blessed with a human touch. The "human touch" is but a chemical process.

Very few people can let the painting reflect their feelings. It takes a brave and talented person to let go enough to make it happen. You are both and I enjoy this painting very much. Excellent as always!

very nice - the monkey is wonderful, looking somehow lost, but confident

You know how I feel about this and what it represents :-) Any kind of art that stirs feelings from within is worthwhile, no matter what those feelings are. If it affects someone then it has succeeded :-)

The golfer said to his foursome. If my wife lies on her left side I will make a hole-in-one. If she lies on her right side I will slice and go wide for a double bogey. He approached the ball. His group called after him. "What if she lies on her back?" "I'll be a little bit late!!" He yelled back.

First I think this is wonderfully painted. The image also reminds me of a research paper I did on animal experiements. This was one of them and it was particualrly sad one. Depriving the little guy of other animal contact they then gave him too dolls. One warm and confortable the other made of wire steel but with a milk bottle. Was the pain they put the little one through worth it? I don't think so. But your painting for me illustrates not only the importance of touch/Love but how our species as awhole can lack that same Love. Excellent work.

I was inspired to create it exactly by the same studies, I followed them when I was doing my Mass Psycholgy exam... It's something which has always made me cry, to think of those poor animals forced to experiment deprival of care and love... I know they used to do this also with other animals, and it still make me cry if I think of it, now and forever... Then I abstracted the concept and even reverted them for human relationships too. I am glad it's hitting people a bit. It's a departure from my usual stuff but that why I like takin part in the Theme atr the forum, they stimulate me :)

The monkey is very cute, also if sad, but great! The composition looks very "Impressionistic", and this is one of my favourite styles. Warm colours and great ensemble; I love it. :-)
