Description
Neithhotep (c. 3150 BCE) was the wife of Narmer, the first dynasty pharaoh who united upper and lower Egypt. It is thought that after his death, she reigned under her own authority which would make her the first female ruler of Egypt and possibly the first female monarch in all history, predating the Sumerian Kubaba by several centuries. Little else is known of her, so I have exercised a considerable degree of artistic license! 😆
