Description
The young Julius Caesar is called before the notorious dictator, SULLA, and ordered to divorce his wife, the daughter of one of Sulla's greatest enemies. But Caesar, risking death, refuses, and Sulla finally relents. As the young POMPEY MAGNUS looks on, Sulla prophesizes that Caesar has "many Mariuses in him", referring to Sulla's other great enemy, GAIUS MARIUS (who was also Caesar's uncle by marriage).
