Description

Just playing around with a photograph who's architecture appealed to me. The photo was put onto a 2d surface in bryce, then I made a bump map for it in PSP. I wanted it to have a more Venetian feel so I put in a rectangle primitive and textured it with old brick (the walkway). The bottom part of the top photo was rendered on the side of that rectangle, then bryce water below that and then the bench the plants then the steet lamp. The lights were turned on and whole thing rendered in Bryce 5. As different as night and day, or in this case day and night. Hope you enjoyed the transfermation.

Very cool image! The bump map you did for the photograph goes perfectly with the texture. Great job!

Excellent work...Now lets go one step further and make this into a model...You want to go back into PS and make the photograph into a greyscale image now of course since the picture is flat you will have to make sure that white will be the highest and black the lowest, you might even have to go in and do some painting, now after you have greyscaled the image go back into Bryce and go into the Terrain Editor and import the greyscaled pic and then you will be able to see what it does and you more then likely will have to go back and forth between PS and Bryce until you get the Model you want...There are tons of tutorials out there on this subject...

Excellent idea Foleypro!...I'm going to try this to with a (boolean)flute I made. Could Sabastian also render the wall in Bryce with the altitude on instead of grayscaling it in PS? That might make a neat terrain too. Excellent work Sabastian!
