Description
The small group proceeded along the corridor, small conversations amongst themselves on recent events.
Navarre took notice of the two guards posted ahead, and upon approach, the Admiral stepped out before them from an adjoining corridor.
The came to an abrupt stop, the officers instantly going silent as they snapped to attention.
"What's going on here?" Navarre instantly going on alert.
"I was hoping to barrow you for a few moments, Captain." The Admiral smiled pleasantly. "Nothing to be concerned about. We have something I think you would find interesting."
"Just a little sudden, Admiral." Navarre replied softly.
"We can rejoin the celebration shortly." She indicated to the corridor behind her. "Only high ranking officers are normally permitted beyond that door." She paused for a moment. Her eyes fixed on the amulet about his neck. "After a lot of consideration, I came to the conclusion that this might be something that pertains to you."
"Me?" Navarre was stunned.
"Just the two of us, Captain." She assured. "Both unarmed. I assure you, I am no danger to you."
"Interesting." Navarre grinned, his curiosity rising. He glanced over his shoulder towards Lt.Pandora. "Stay with Avarris." He then glanced back at the Admiral. "Please, lead the way."
