Description
The Admiral lead him into an elevator. As they moved upwards, she spoke.
"Generations ago, Our people were told to wait. And there would be a return." She sighed softly. "And when I was a young Lieutenant, we discovered a small craft, damaged and barely operational. A woman and child aboard. She helped us more than we helped her, I'm afraid. She never spoke, but, somehow, we seemed to know what she relayed to us. It renewed our hope; allowing us to continue our search for a home and the one that would give us purpose again."
"Hope is a good thing." Navarre scowled, confused, but he allowed her to continue.
"What we hold; she already knew. And she directed us again to wait. To hold them safe. We have done this." She paused and then glanced at his amulet. "She wore that."
Navarre glanced down at the amulet, holding it up before his eyes.
"My mother's." He sighed softly.
"It's part of the key in your journey."
"Key?" Navarre tilted his head slightly. "Journey?" He was now truly baffled. "What?
