Description

Hi there here is my latest work, it was meant to be loosely based on the Gollum creature from LOTR, but I did not want to totally copy it I wanted to try and make mine more human like. I'm not sure if it really worked and if I could go back I would change some things about it, but I'm finished with it now and I'm reasonable happy with it I guess.

Got my vote. This is amazing. Did you paint the face map yourself Julian??? I don't think I've ever commented on any of your renders but I sure look at them all.

Hey, that looks like my shifty eyed car mechanic... (yes, he looks like a cross between Gollum and Charles Bronson too!)... Outstanding work Julian. Do you make specular maps as well?

Incredible work. You never fail to amaze. It's realistic AND stylistic. I realize you probably get this a lot, but I would love to see a tutorial on some of your techniques.

This can not be CGI. You just found this creature in a cave, and photographed him. This is too great to be CGI, there is no human being that can maka such an image with a computer and Maya. ;)This is impossably great, this is definitely an 100 on a scale from 1 to 10.

Just to add to what everyone else has said - this is a truly stunning artistic work. One of the best things I've ever seen on these galleries. AMAZING! The skin texturing, lighting and modeling are all exemplary.

Sweet work Julian, very fine. Did you paint the texture map? or is that Photo based? the only thing I'm not sure about are his teeth.

This is amazing work! This character looks so real and seems to have a real personality. Better character detail and realism than most of the characters created in Hollywood! How long did it take you to do?
