Description

Situated in Ballarat, Victoria, this picturesque lake is dotted with quaint boat houses around its shores. The original 3" x 5" image was painted for my Mum for Mother's Day in 1998. I'm not really that happy with it now as it ended up quite muddy. I now know a lot more about how colour works and hardly ever use black. Thanks to Dad for scanning it. ~ Thanks for viewing ~

Well it looks quite vibrant to me! The colour has more depth than normally seen in most watercolour, this is a really nice scene, captures the character of the place.

The first contact I had with this kind of colouring was when I saw paintings of Tadashi Asoma for the first time. And I think you have done a very good image here.
