Description

Svenart posted a scene with a camera recently, and I got inspired to model my Fujifilm FinePix 601 Zoom digita camera, who's design I love. Thanks for viewing! Peter C. I have updated the image, now using 92% GI accuracy.

Hehehe, I was obliged to verify it was not in the photo gallery : very nice modelling/texturing/lighting/rendering work ...

this is looking great, those radiosity settings need tweaking a bit though, and the mesh looks kind of bumpy near the black circle, top right :D

I like it - I own a finepix myself :) (Though mine has a metallic cover). Nearly photorealistic though!

Higher AA setting and higher Radiosity settings (or stochastic mode) would make it perfect.

Thanks all, the radiosity setting was 80%, about 3 hour render on my P4 2.5 GHz. The mesh around the viewport is round, its a sligt reflection from the HDR image probe that spooks a bit. I can tel you that this model was a pain to create =)

I think you've done a fine job here. Only thing I see is some "jaggies" here and there. Selecting the "best" AA settings should clear that right up however, is it worth another 3 hour render? Ya know, and this is just me, but I find that settings of around 10% in the accuracy usually yield acceptable results with dramatically reduced render times. I often up the Minimum resolution to around 30 also. Give it a go sometime, you might be surprised. dano

What are the problem here with this members? This is a really perfect photorealistic picture. It's unbelievable how nice you have work here. Excellent +

Nice model, shame about the render artifacts...

Nice look! the only thing i would criticize is the fact the camera exists in reality, so it's nothing new to the world. imagine this surface and GI-setting on a sci-fi object, that will augment the impression.but anyway great job! (perhaps alittle more AA on the autograph ;-)
