Description

In the hall of the undead, the misfortune teller, calls upon the ancient spirits, to tell of your fate...Do you dare listen? Fate as we have seen in recent days with the destruction of Columbia, the conflicts, the earthquakes, and other tragedies we hear on the news every day kinda led me to this image, hoping to portray that feeling... While certainly not a tribute to the crew of Columbia, I did want to express my deepest sympathies for the families of the crew of STS-107. May their souls fly high... Comments and Suggestions are always welcome. Thanks for looking and if you get a moment, feel free to check out my other gallery entries. Poser/Vue/Photoshop Everything was posed in Poser. Using my Pepper's Ghost technique that I made for Bryce and converted to Vue which allows ghostly figures to be rendered at the same time without postwork to do them. Photoshop was then used to add the demon wall (which I painted) in the back and give a little glow to the transparent spirits. A tutorial is now available on this technique for Vue D'Esprit by clicking Here. There is a Bryce version there as well. Beautiful and I love the demons :) We EX-Amiga users must stick together. Ohh I remember the days of Workbench 1.3 / 2.04 so fondly. Pity that the Amiga died. It was lightyears ahead of its time in the graphics/digital painting department.

Ohhhhhhhhh! This is not only very POWERFUL, extremely well rendered and composed but it manages to be gorgeous too at the same time. How is that possible?? Only Shadow could pull that off so well! :-)

This is my favorite of your images (a tough choice - there are many I like.) This one creates a story...It's like an opening scene for a truly interesting movie. Great stuff!

Ohhhh! The lighting is superb...what a nice dramatic flair you have. :) I love the eerie quality. Nice focused expression on the central character's face.

Hope posting a new comment after this image being on display for so long is alright :o) I wanted to say that this portrait really hits the mark on quite a few levels and the life or 'undead' is remarkably represented. The facial expressions of the spirits are strong and leave a definite impression on the viewer. Awesome job!
